Getting Started
- Register for a Solid Pod
- Open up a “private” or “incognito” browser window
Chapter 1. Accessing Resources
- Point your browser to tool.domestic-beethoven.eu
- Click “login” in upper right corner
- Press “Annotator” Button
Chapter 2. Comparing Resources
- Open “ + “ Library Views
- Scroll to work/score
- Choose perspective: “Transcript” or “IIIF”
Chapter 3. Making Selections from the Resources
3.1 Selecting Encoded Extracts (MEI)
- Select “New Extract”
- Click to select notes; Shift+Click to select measures‚
- Label and Save “ ✓ “
3.2 Selecting Image Extracts (IIIF)
- Select “New Extract”
- Select “ “ on upper left of image
- Use mouse to drag-select the region of interest
- Label and Save “ ✓ “
Chapter 4. Joining Extracts as Parallel Passages
- Switch to “Annotate” view
- Create new Musical Material object “ + “
- Add corresponding Extracts “ + “
- Provide a label for the Musical Materal contained in the Extracts
- Save the Musical Material object “ ✓ “
Chapter 5. Annotating Resources
- Open “ + “ a new Annotation
- Select “ + “ the Musical Material to annotate
- Write annotation
- Save the annotation “ ✓ “
